Cub Scout Uniform Requirements

This page provides information about the Scout Uniform that is required to participate in Cub Scouts, and specifically what is needed for Pack 1020 scouts. Cub Scouts are required to have a full Field Uniform, as described below, and an optional Activity Uniform/pack t-shirt.

* Please note: In Pack 1020, Cub Scout uniform pants are encouraged, but optional. A scout may wear blue jeans, blue or jean shorts instead.

SHIRT REQUIREMENTS

Tiger Cubs, Wolf, and Bear Cub Scouts should purchase a blue Cub Scout Short Sleeve Shirt Field Uniform.

Webelos Scouts can wear the same blue Cub Scout Short Sleeve Shirt Field Uniform, or they can purchase the tan/khaki short sleeve Boy Scout Field Uniform. We recommend that if you are buying a new Webelos uniform, purchase the tan one, but if you already have a blue one from earlier scout usage, use that one until it is outgrown.

NOTE: If the TAN/KHAKI Uniform is used, Blue Shoulder Loops should also be purchased.

NECKERCHIEF / SLIDE

Each scout group has a different Neckerchief and Slide to wear. 
  • Tiger: Orange / Blue Neckerchief;  Tiger Cubs Slide
  • Wolf: Yellow / Blue Neckerchief; Wolf Cubs Slide
  • Bear: Light Blue / Blue Neckerchief; Bear Cubs Slide
  • Webelos: Green/Red/Blue Plaid Neckerchief; Webelos Slide

BELT

All age groups should wear the official blue scout belt with brass buckle. Buckles are also sold separately.

HAT

The Cub Scout hat is currently optional, but each age group has its own hat.

  • Each rank requires a specific den number. Please check which den number patch to purchase for your scout.
  • PACK 1020 Does NOT sell uniforms or uniform insignia, except for the all-in-one "1020" patch and the Pack 1020 Activity Uniform/T-Shirt. Uniforms must be purchased from the local Boy Scout Shop. The nearest Boy Scout Shops are located at:
